Very mature for a 8 year old whisky. Oloroso´n has not taken over, which can sometimes happen.
The whiskey has a nice light mahogany color. There is a really interesting mix of sweetness and smoke, aromas of something
reminiscent of syrup´s hardened bacon, with roasted toffee. And lingering smoke that a classic Caol Ila always serves.
It has a nice high abv which means you do not have to be too delicate to add a few drops of water ... or whatever suits your taste :)
