- Product Description
Distillery: Glen Moray
Type: Single Malt Whisky - from a Single Cask
Vol: 70 cl.
Bottles produced: 218
Colour: Rich gold in colour. This is no youngster anymore and it cannot hide it. It’s swirling legs are fat and slow. The promising sign of a respectable aged malt.
Nose: A delicious perfume. Sweet juicy pears with cloves poached in a sweet white wine. Milk chocolate with coconut. Oatmeal with speculoos shortcrust biscuits splashed with nut oil. The delightful scent of Geo. F. Trumper’s Sandalwood shaving soap. Mixed with a few drops of water there’s plenty of coconut oil and a pleasant touch of cork. Champagne or Poire Williams sherbet.
Taste: There’s that promised lovely texture. Sandalwood and roses. Coconut cream mixed with a musky perfume. An old leather chair in a perfume store or a barbershop from a bygone age.
With water things get creamy and soft. Old sweet wine with woody accents giving it a slightly bitter touch. Breakfast with Earl Grey tea and tangerine marmalade.
Finish: An everlasting bittersweet finish of a first class old dessert wine.
Chapter 7™ is an independent bottler's brand that we created in 2014 with passion and curiosity to explore whisky. We started off by bottling single casks from Scotland's lesser known distilleries. Malts that are backbones of famous blends but known to a few. Our journey continues driven by curiosity, uncovering malts from Scotland, Ireland, grain whiskies from Scotland and recently we began vatting malts, exploring the fascinating world of blending.
